The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s summer high school program, High School Latino Leaders in D.C. CHCI will bring approximately 40 Latino high school students to D.C. to spend six days learning about how the Federal Government works, meeting key leaders, visiting historic sites and developing a deeper understanding of how they can affect positive change in their communities and their nation. The program, which will take place July 14-19, is completely FREE of charge to all selected student participants. Any Latino 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student who resides in Cook County is eligible to apply (detailed eligibility requirements can be found here). CHCI has identified only a small number of geographic regions where we are recruiting students; as such, we have reserved spaces for Chicago area students. Applications are now available online and must be submitted by April 8, 2013 at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time.

Attached please find an informational letter as well as a program brochure and flyer that you can share with the students in your school/program.  For more information please contact:
