STREET ART STUDIO
Street Art Studio- Visual Art Applied to Public Art Projects
Fabi | Get ready to paint the town—literally! 🎨✨ In Street Art Studio, teens will dive into traditional street art techniques like wheat pasting, stencil work, and poster art while exploring the roots and evolution of street art culture. Through documentaries, field trips, photos, and guest artist talks, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the power of public art. Drawing inspiration from the local environment and their own identities, teens will design and install public street art pieces over the course of the program. By the end, they won’t just know the history of street art—they’ll have left their mark with work that speaks to both self and community.

Funk Camera Flex - A Visual Narrative Through Photography
TBA | Calling all funky photographers! In this program, teens will explore the city, visit galleries and museums, and dive into conversations with artists to spark their creativity. Along the way, they’ll try out different image-capturing methods—both old-school and digital—and experiment with tools like Photoshop and studio lighting. Most importantly, participants will learn more about themselves, their perspectives, and how they want to express their stories as artists.

GRAFFITI MURAL PROJECT
Graffiti Mural Project- History, Culture, Creation of Public Art
Liz ‘Bel’ Reyes | Get your hands on some spray paint and your name up in style! In this program, teens team up with a local graffiti artist to master the art of graffiti lettering and create bold, expressive works. Along the way, participants dive into the history and culture of graffiti through films, stories, and street-smart discussions. You’ll experiment with markers, acrylics, and spray paint to develop your own style—and then take it to the streets. The grand finale? Designing and painting two graffiti murals right in the heart of the Little Village community. Come

Art Wellness
Eli | Join us for an engaging, hands-on program where creativity meets self-care. Participants will explore the art of paper mâché and other sculptural materials to create expressive, personal works of art. Alongside these creative projects, we will focus on developing social-emotional learning (SEL) skills, building mental wellness, and practicing self-care through reflection, mindfulness, and collaborative discussions. Each session offers a supportive space to explore emotions, express identity, and build confidence—proving that art can be both healing and empowering.

Along the way, local guest artists will spill the tea on their own mural-making journeys—how they land gigs, work with clients, plan big projects, and document their work like pros. You’ll learn the ins and outs of bringing art to the streets and leave the program with real-world tools to make your creative mark in public spaces. Murals aren’t just for walls—they’re for voices, and yours matters.
